Q: How long FROM START TO FINISH when you create a new piece?

A:  Each piece is different and quite unique.  I try not to skip from one work to another.  Some ideas come quickly and the execution can be quite fast.  Others take longer to mature.  I guess it’s like polishing an apple.  It depends how long until I’m happy with the result.  Often both the devil and joy of success are in the detail  - so I never hurry.

Q: Do you accept COMMISSIONS?

A:  As a rule. No.   I am selective about what I work on and prefer to explore my own directions and create a very personal body of work.  I think consistency is important.  But talk to me on the CONTACTS page.

Q: Is your ORIGINAL ARTWORK for sale?

A:  Art is a hobby for me, but yes, my original work are right there under the SHOP tab, and listed as ORIGINAL.  If you wish to purchase an original please message me via my CONTACTS page so that we can touch base or alternatively go directly to my SHOP page.  My Original pieces all include a CERTIFICATE of AUTHENTICITY that identifies the individual artwork and myself.

Q:  What or who MOTIVATES and INSPIRES you?

A:  As a wife, mother, nana and friend, family, love and faith are at the centre of who I am and that warmth often finds its way into my work. Painting has become more than a passion—it is a way to slow down, reflect, and create something lasting.

I enjoy bouncing between oils, acrylics, watercolour, charcoal and pastels, choosing the medium that best suits each subject. My work includes portraits, animals, florals and landscapes, with every piece created in its own unique style.

Art has taught me to trust the process, appreciate beauty in everyday life, and keep learning with every canvas.  Am I inspired by the works of great artists and do their lives styles and experiences inspire me? Of course, but generally I just let my own brush do the talking.

Q:  If I purchase an artwork how long will it take for my ORDER to arrive?

A:  For Original Artwork.  Generally, allow up to 3 working days for your piece to be prepared for shipping.  Delivery times vary.  Within Australia most orders take 5-12 working days.  Remote Regions may be longer.  Artwork shipped INTERSTATE or OVERSEAS goes directly from my studio in Perth,  Western Australia, to your nominated address.  

For Framed Artwork.  I do offer some Framed Works, but talk to me via CONTACTS about this one so we can arrange suitable freight, insurance etc. Professional CUSTOM Frames require extra time to select and arrange, so please allow an additional 3-5 business days for the framing process prior to dispatch from my studio.

Q:  What COURIER company do you use?

A:  I use only trusted couriers, including Australia Post, TOLL and StarTrack for reliable delivery.

Q:  Do you offer parcel TRACKING Notifications?

A:  Couriers will generally send an email confirmation with tracking details and estimated delivery date when your order has shipped.

Q:  Can my purchase be sent EXPRESS?

A:  Yes.  But not always.  Again, best to CONTACT me first for a quote.

Q:Do you have a Refund and Returns policy?

A: Yes I do and here it is... Refund & Returns Policy.  7-Day Return Period.You have 7 days from the date of delivery to decide if the artwork is right for your space. If you’re not completely happy with it, you may return the original piece for a refund.

To qualify for a return, the artwork must be:

  • In its original condition, and

  • Sent back using the original packaging and shipping materials to keep it safe in transit.

Please contact me first at Laureelindsayart@yahoo.com to arrange the return and get a quote for return shipping costs.  Refunds will be processed once the artwork is safely received (less return shipping charges and insurance costs if applicable).

Damaged or Faulty Items
All artworks are packed with care, but if your order arrives damaged or faulty, please:

  1. Take clear photos of the packaging before opening it.

  2. Photograph the damaged artwork or frame.

  3. Email the images and your order details to Laureelindsayart@yahoo.com.

You can choose either:

  • A replacement piece of equal value, or

  • A full refund of your purchase price.

Australian Consumer Law
Your purchase is also protected under the Australian Consumer Law, which guarantees your right to a remedy if goods are faulty, damaged, or not as described.

Q:  Tell me about SHIPPING?

A:  I can offer several shipping options.  I live in Perth, Western Australia, so for people in the local region who wish to purchase and collect artwork directly there is no SHIPPING cost.

Q:  Can I return an artwork?

A:  I do offer a 7-day change of mind return policy, as mentioned above, on all ORIGINAL paintings.   To request a return, please contact me via the CONTACT Page and I'll provide a return shipping quote.  Once the artwork is received in its original condition, you'll be refunded the full artwork price.  Please use the original packaging and box to ensure safe return transit.

Q:  How are your paintings packaged to ensure safe shipment?

A:  All paintings are shipped in suitable art quality materials cardboard boxes with ample internal padding.  Transiting artworks are stored upright by couriers and are clearly marked as FRAGILE.  They also display visible labels.

Q: How long extra if I order Framing

A:  This will depend on the workload of the framing company.  Use CONTACT page to stay in touch with me.

Q  Will I receive Courier Tracking Notifications

A: Yes.  You will receive the familiar emailed tracking updates

Q:  Can my order be sent Express?

A:  Yes, generally.  Use CONTACT page to stay in touch with me about a quote.

Q:  Can I view your artwork in person?

A: I am located 0n the edge of Perth, Western Australia.  Viewings are strictly by appointment only.  To arrange a viewing please use the form on my CONTACT page or my email is: Laureelindsayart@yahoo.com.

Q: Can I buy a fresh or re imagined rendition of an original painting you have already sold?

A:  I will be happy to create a custom piece capturing the essence of an earlier artwork provided it is not essentially a copy.  Please talk to me on the CONTACT page.
